Title

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the executive to execute an airspace lease agreement with the Washington state Department of Transportation for land and facilities in the State Route 520 interchange at Montlake Boulevard for a term of twenty years with the possibility of two twenty-year extensions; and to take all actions necessary to implement the terms of the lease.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:

1.  The Metro transit department determined that the county should lease land from the Washington state Department of Transportation in the State Route 520 Montlake to Lake Washington Interchange, in council district two, to support the Metro transit department's relocated roadside loading zones and bus shelters in the margin of State Route 520.

2.  The Metro transit department successfully negotiated an airspace lease with Washington state Department of Transportation for land and facilities located in the State Route 520 interchange at Montlake Boulevard.

                     BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:

                     SECTION 1.  The executive is authorized to execute an airspace lease agreement for land and facilities located at the interchange of State Route 520 and Montlake Boulevard, with the Washington state Department of Transportation, substantially in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance, and to take all actions necessary to implement the terms of the lease.
