Title
A MOTION confirming the executive's appointment of the members of the King County children and families strategy task force in accordance with Motion 15521.
Body
WHEREAS, Motion 15521 established the King County children and families strategy task force to explore policy recommendations related to child care affordability and access in King County, and
WHEREAS, the children and families strategy task force will be tasked with preparing a report that makes recommendations for addressing access and affordability issues related to child care in King County, and
WHEREAS, the members of the task force shall be appointed by the executive and confirmed by the council, and
WHEREAS, the county executive has appointed the following members to the King County children and families strategy task force:
1. Lois Martin, who resides in district two, as a representative of an organization representing the interests of licensed child care centers;
2. Patricia Bailey, who resides in district two, as a representative of an organization representing the interests of licensed in-home child care provider;
3. John Bancroft, who resides in district two, as a representative of an organization providing childcare services as a family, friend, and or neighbor child care provider in King County;
4. Maki Park, who resides in district two, as a representative of an organization or individual representing parents who utilize child care on a regular basis;
5. Casey Osborn-Hinman, who resides in district two, as a representative of an organization or individual representing parents who utilize child care on a regular basis;
6. Ti'esh Harper, who resides in district five, as a representative of an organization or individual representing parents who utilize child care on a regular basis;
7. Ruth Kagi, who resides in district four, as a representative of an organization representing the interests of philanthropy;
