Title

A MOTION accepting the King County Marijuana Report, as required by Ordinance 18326.

Body

                     WHEREAS, Ordinance 18326 adopted zoning regulations pertaining to marijuana retail, processing and production activities, and

                     WHEREAS, Ordinance 18326, Section 18, requires a report analyzing the potential for allowing marijuana uses in Neighborhood Business (NB) zones in unincorporated King County to be transmitted to the council by December 31, 2016, and

                     WHEREAS, Ordinance 18326, Section 19, requires a report analyzing the potential for allowing marijuana uses in the Urban Reserve (UR) and Rural Area-10 (RA-10) zones in unincorporated King County and a motion accepting the report to be transmitted to the council by April 28, 2017, and

                      WHEREAS, Ordinance 18326, Section 20, requires a report describing the marijuana industry in King County and the impacts of retail stores and marijuana processors on the residents of unincorporated King County to be transmitted to the council by December 31, 2018, and

                     WHEREAS, the executive transmitted a letter to the council on February 8, 2017, requesting that these three reports be consolidated into one report and a motion accepting the report to be transmitted to the council by December 31, 2018, and

                     WHEREAS, the executive has transmitted the King County Marijuana Report, which includes the analysis required by Ordinance 18326, Sections 18, 19 and 20, and a motion accepting the report;

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

                     The King County Marijuana Report in Attachments A, B, C and D to this motion is hereby accepted.
