Title
AN ORDINANCE relating to passenger ferry service, revising passenger ferry fares; and amending Ordinance 17935, Section 6, as amended, and K.C.C 4A.700.820.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1. The 2017-2018 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 18409, Section 112, adopted the marine division operating fund budget.
2. As part of the budget, the council adopted the marine division's financial plan, which included new revenue from a proposed fare increase to take place in 2018.
3. On November 20, 2014, Ordinance 17935 was enacted, which assumed the governance of the King County ferry district, added new sections to the King County Code, assumed the ferry fare policies of the King County ferry district and adopted the passenger ferry fares for King County.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. A. Section 2 of this ordinance adopts fares for passenger ferries.
B. These fares are adopted pursuant to RCW 36.54.010 and RCW 36.54.120.
SECTION 2. Ordinance 17935, Section 6, as amended, and K.C.C. 4A.700.820 are each hereby amended to read as follows:
A.1. Except as may otherwise be provided by ordinance, the following fare categories and rates are established for regularly scheduled passenger ferry service:
