Title

A MOTION acknowledging receipt of a report in compliance with the 2017-2018 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 18409, Section 100, Proviso P2, on a program efforts to conduct outreach, education and other activities to prevent lead poisoning and exposure to other toxics by the environmental health services division of Public Health - Seattle & King County.

Body

                     WHEREAS, the 2017-2018 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 18409, Section 100, Proviso P2, calls on the executive to transmit a description of program to conduct outreach, education and other activities related to preventing lead poisoning and exposure to other environmental toxics, and

                     WHEREAS, the report includes the following:

                     1.  A description of accomplishments to date;

                     2.  A work program for 2018; and

                     3.  A description of strategies to expand the program and potential funding options, and

                     WHEREAS, the executive is further required to submit a motion that approves and acknowledges receipt the report;

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

                     The receipt of the report on activities related to preventing lead poisoning and exposure to other toxics by the environmental health services division of Public Health - Seattle & King County, which is Attachment A to this motion, in compliance with the 2017-2018 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 18409 Section 100, Proviso P2, is hereby acknowledged.
