Title

AN ORDINANCE relating to the sale of the tax title property located at 162XX First Avenue South, Burien, Washington, in council district five.

Body

STATEMENT OF FACTS:

1.  The facilities management division declared the tax title property located at 162XX First Avenue South, Burien, Washington, located within council district five, surplus to its needs on May 2, 2016.

2.  The facilities management division offered the property to other county agencies on May 16, 2016, and received no interest.

3.  The facilities management division found the property unsuitable for affordable housing development on June 23, 2016.

4.  The facilities management division declared the property surplus to the current and future foreseeable needs of the county on July 15, 2016.

5.  The property was marketed through the required public notice in the Seattle Times in accordance with RCW 36.35.120 and via direct notification of the four adjoining property owners.

6.  The county received one bid and accepted a purchase price of $15,000 on October 24, 2016.

                     BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:

                     SECTION 1.  The executive is authorized to convey the 162XX First Avenue S tax title parcel to Harold and Sheila Dunn consistent with a purchase and sale agreement substantially in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance, and to take all actions necessary to implement the terms of the purchase and sale agreement.
