Title

AN ORDINANCE relating to the sale of the Auburn public health clinic located at 100 Auburn Avenue NE, Auburn, Washington, in council district seven.

Body

STATEMENT OF FACTS:

1.  The department of public health declared the property located at 100 Auburn Avenue NE, Auburn, Washington, located within council district seven, surplus to its needs on February 27, 2009.

2.  The facilities management division offered the property to other county agencies on March 10, 2009, and received no interest.

3.  The facilities management division declared the property surplus to the current and future foreseeable needs of the county on April 13, 2009.

4.  The facilities management division found the property unsuitable for affordable housing on April 13, 2009.

5.  The property sale was negotiated directly with the city of Auburn.

6.  The county and the city agreed to a purchase price of $350,000 on February 5, 2016.

                     BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:

                     SECTION 1.  The executive is authorized to convey the Auburn public health clinic property to the city of Auburn, consistent with a purchase and sale agreement substantially in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance and to take all actions necessary to implement the terms of the purchase and sale agreement.
