AN ORDINANCE authorizing the county executive to execute and enter into agreements for the purpose of collecting high-resolution lidar data for the King County region.

Body

STATEMENT OF FACTS:

1.  King County, various municipalities and other public agencies are joining together to collect high-resolution lidar data for the King County region.

2.  The King County 2015 lidar project will collect lidar data during the leaf-off period of winter 2015/2016.  The data will be available to participants in the early spring of 2016.

3.  The funding partners will contract with Kitsap County, which manages the Puget Sound Lidar Consortium, to administer the execution of the project.

                     BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY

                     SECTION 1.  The county executive is authorized to execute an agreement, substantially in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance, with Kitsap County to contract for the collection of lidar data for the King County region.  The county executive is also authorized to execute a funding agreement with other governmental agencies in order to collect their costs shares to make payments to Kitsap County, in substantially the form of Attachment B to this ordinance.
