A MOTION relating to the appointment of a commissioner to the board of commissioners of King County drainage district No. 6.

      WHEREAS, King County drainage district No. 6 is authorized to undertake drainage control, storm water control and surface water control activities, including acquisition and maintenance of drains, ditches, canals, nonsanitary sewers, pumps and other works and appliances, machinery and equipment, and
      WHEREAS, the jurisdiction of King County drainage district No. 6 is generally bounded by Enumclaw-Buckley Road SE, SE Mud Mountain Road, SE 480th Street, 288th Avenue SE, SE 472nd Street, 286th Avenue SE, SE 464th Street, 284th Avenue SE, SE 456th Street, 280th Avenue SE, SE 451st Street, Blake Street in Enumclaw and Roosevelt Avenue East in Enumclaw, and
      WHEREAS, King County drainage district No. 6 is governed by a three-member board of commissioners, each of whom must be a "qualified voter of the special district" as provided by RCW 85.38.010(3), and
      WHEREAS, Mr. Ken Bosik is a registered voter and owns land within King County drainage district No. 6 and thus meets the qualifications to serve as a member of the board of commissioners of King County drainage district No. 6, and
      WHEREAS, a vacancy exists on the board of commissioners and the county council is authorized to appoint a commissioner to fill the vacancy as provided by RCW 85.38.070(5);
      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the council of King County:
      Mr. Bosic is hereby appointed to serve on the board of commissioners of King
County drainage district No. 6 until his successor is elected at the next district general election, February 2, 2016, and qualified.
