A MOTION authorizing the manager of treasury operations of King County to cancel the attached list of uncollectible personal property taxes in the amount of $1,408,143.41 for the years 2003 through 2013.

      WHEREAS, the duly appointed manager of treasury operations of King County, Washington has made an affidavit pursuant to the terms of RCW 84.56.240 and 84.56.260 to the King County council relating the manager's diligent search and inquiry for goods and chattels of the persons appearing on the list of delinquent taxpayers and the manager's inability to find any such property from which the taxes could be collected, and
      WHEREAS, the duly appointed manager of treasury operations of King County, Washington, has requested the authority from the King County council to cancel the taxes;
      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
      The manager of treasury operations of King County is hereby authorized to cancel the tax billings in the amount of $1,408,143.41, as indicated in Attachments A, B and C
to this motion, from the records of treasury operations for the years 2003 through 2013, but the obligation to King County is not forgiven.
