AN ORDINANCE approving a lease amendment with the Seattle Skeet and Trap Club for facilities located in the Ravensdale area.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KINGCOUNTY:
SECTION 1. Findings:
A. The Seattle Skeet and Trap Club is a bona fide nonprofit organization that has leased land from King County for the past ten years to provide shooting facilities for use by the public and club members from the surrounding area.
B. The King County executive has negotiated a lease amendment providing for expansion of the existing facilities under certain terms and conditions.
C. The executive is authorized to lease county-owned real property for use by bona fide nonprofit organizations as provided by K.C.C. 4.56.150.E. and subject to approval by ordinance of the King County council consistent with K.C.C. 4.56.190.C.
D. The attached lease form provides for an increase in the leasehold area of greater than fifty percent over the existing space. Seattle Skeet and Trap Club has committed to making significant improvements, including new and updated amenities, which will continue to serve the public by providing a state-of-the-art skeet and trap facility.
SECTION 2. The executive is hereby authorized to execute the lease amendment in substantially similar form as provided in Attachment A to this ordinance and all actions up to now taken by county officials, agent and employees consistent with the terms and purposes of the lease agreement are hereby ratified, confirmed and approved.
SECTION 3. If any one or more of the covenants or agreements provided in this ordinance to be performed on the part of the county is declared by any court of competent jurisdiction to be contrary to law, then such a covenant or covenants, agreement or agreements are null and void and shall be deemed separable from the remaining covenants and agreements of this ordinance and in no way affect the validity of the other provisions of this ordinance or ...
