AN ORDINANCE relating to creating the Puget Sound emergency radio network levy fund and the Puget Sound emergency radio network capital fund; and adding new sections to K.C.C. chapter 4A.200.
Body
      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      NEW SECTION.  SECTION 1.  There is hereby added to K.C.C. chapter 4A.200 a new section to read as follows:
      A.  There is hereby created the Puget Sound emergency radio network levy fund.
      B.  The fund shall be a first tier fund.  It is a special revenue fund.
      C.  The director of the department of information technology shall be the manager of the fund.
      D.  All levy proceeds received under the Puget Sound emergency radio levy approved by the voters of King County at the April 28, 2015, special election as described in Ordinance 17993, Section 4, shall be deposited in the fund.
      E.  Levy moneys in the fund shall be used in accordance with the purposes and activities described in Ordinance 17993, Section 5.
      NEW SECTION.  SECTION 2.  There is hereby added to K.C.C. chapter 4A.200 a new section to read as follows:
      A.  There is hereby created the Puget Sound emergency radio network capital fund.
      B.  The fund shall be a first tier fund.  It is a capital projects fund.
      C.  The director of the department of information technology shall be the manager of the fund.
      D.  The fund shall account for transfers from the Puget Sound emergency radio network levy fund and proceeds from external or internal financing sources, such as bonds, bond anticipation notes or interfund loans.
      E.  The fund shall be used to account for the capital costs related to the Puget Sound emergency radio network project, as described in Ordinance 17993.
      F.  The fund shall be managed in such a way to distinguish levy revenues from any other revenues in the fund.
