Title
A RESOLUTION amending the interlocal agreement between King County and the King County Flood Control Zone District to extend its term.
Body
WHEREAS, the King County Flood Control Zone District (the "District") and King County (the "County") have entered into an Interlocal Agreement between King County and King County Flood Control Zone District Regarding Flood Protection Services (the "ILA"), and
WHEREAS, the ILA currently expires January 1, 2027, and includes a clause for a two-year extension based on mutual agreement of the parties, and
WHEREAS, the District and County desire to continue to operate under the terms of the interlocal agreement until a new one can be negotiated and adopted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE KING COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors approves the First Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement Between King County and the King County Flood Control Zone District Regarding Flood Protection Services, which is Attachment A to this resolution,
and authorizes the chair of the Board of Supervisors to sign an amendment extending the Agreement to January 1, 2029.
