Title

A MOTION acknowledging the receipt of Harborview Medical Center (HMC) Parking Alternatives Analysis to address parking issues at Harborview Medical Center as required by the 2026-2027 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 20023, Section 132, Proviso P7, as amended by Ordinance 20086, Section 101.

Body

                     WHEREAS, the 2026-2027 Biennial Budget ordinance, Ordinance 20023, Section 132, Proviso P7, as amended by Ordinance 20086, Section 101, requires the executive to transmit a plan on the parking garage project to address parking issues at Harborview Medical Center, accompanied by a motion that should acknowledge receipt of the applicable report, and

                     WHEREAS, Proviso P7 provides that $97,000,000 shall not be expended or encumbered until the executive transmits both the plan and the motion, and the motion acknowledging receipt is passed, and

                     WHEREAS, Proviso P7, states the plan should contain a description of the engagement process with the University of Washington, Harborview Board of Trustees, and Harborview Medical Center administration, and

                     WHEREAS, Proviso P7, states the plan should include a discussion on how parking revenue was factored into the analysis to determine which parking solution was selected, and

                     WHEREAS, Proviso P7, states the plan should contain a timeline for the design and construction of the parking garage project, and

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

                     The receipt of the Harborview Medical Center (HMC) Parking Alternatives Analysis to address parking issues at Harborview Medical Center, Attachment A to this

motion, is hereby acknowledged in accordance with Ordinance 20023, Section 132, Proviso P7, as amended by Ordinance 20086, Section 101.
