Title
A MOTION reclassifying three council employees.
Body
WHEREAS, the employment and administration committee, upon the request of three employees, made a recommendation on June 25, 2018, to reclassify these employees so as to relieve them of any supervisory duties, and
WHEREAS, these are highly valued employees, and the council wishes to accommodate their request but also reclassify them in a manner that does not reduce their compensation, which is commensurate with the experience and responsibilities they will have irrespective of the reclassification, and
WHEREAS, when the original recommendation was made by the employment and administration committee on June 25, 2018, reclassification of these employees within the available personnel ranges and steps made it difficult to maintain their compensation at the same level, and
WHEREAS, the execution of a memorandum of agreement between the county and the union will allow reclassification of these employees while maintaining their current compensation levels;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
A. Mary Bourguignon and Wendy Soohoo are reclassified and their rate of pay is set per the memorandum of agreement attached hereto as Attachment A, which is incorporated by this reference.
B. Erin Auzins is reclassified from a Supervising Legislative Analyst I to a Senior Principal Legislative Analyst at Pay Range 79, Step 5.
