AN ORDINANCE approving the sale of five surplus improved residential parcels located within council districts three, six and nine.

      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  Findings:
      A.  King County's road services division ("roads") is custodian of five improved residential parcels that were purchased for various road projects.
      B.  Roads determined these parcels were surplus to its needs.  Pursuant to K.C.C. 4.56.070, the facilities management division ("FMD") circulated surplus notices to county agencies, none of whom expressed interest.  FMD determined that none of these properties is suitable for affordable housing development and declared the properties to be surplus.
      C.  Pursuant to K.C.C. 4.56.100, FMD will list the following properties for sale with the Northwest Multiple Listing Service at their appraised values:

      D.  Pursuant to K.C.C. 4.56.080, council must approve the sale of county-owned real property in excess of ten thousand dollars.  FMD recommends council approval of the proposed sales of each of these properties subject to obtaining sales prices not less than ninety percent of their appraised fair market values.
      SECTION 2.  The King County council, having determined that sale of the subject five surplus residential properties is in the best interest of the county, does hereby approve the proposed sales of each of these properties subject to obtaining sales prices not less than ninety percent of their appraised fair market values, and authorizes the King
County executive to execute any other documents necessary to convey and deliver the properties to their buyers.
