Title

A MOTION approving the job description for the position of hearing examiner.

Body

                     WHEREAS, Section 896 of the King County Charter states that the King County council shall by ordinance provide the opportunity for an administrative appeal to a hearing examiner for appeals regarding the granting or rejecting of an application for zoning variance or conditional use permit, and

                     WHEREAS, K.C.C. 20.22.020 directs the King County council to appoint a hearing examiner for a term of four years, and

WHEREAS, OR- 0230 of the council's organizational motion compilation requires that the employment and administration committee to recommend all job descriptions within the legislative branch of King County to the council for approval, and

                     WHEREAS, the King County council seeks to update the job descriptions for the position of hearing examiner;

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

                     The job description of the hearing examiner is approved as Attachment A to this motion.
