Title
A MOTION approving the first year of the 2027-2028 administrative budget and work program for ARCH, A Regional Coalition for Housing.
Body
WHEREAS, King County and the cities of Beaux Arts Village, Bellevue, Bothell, Clyde Hill, Hunts Point, Issaquah, Kenmore, Kirkland, Medina, Mercer Island, Newcastle, Redmond, Sammamish, Woodinville, and Yarrow Point are parties to an Amended and Restated Interlocal Agreement for ARCH, A Regional Coalition for Housing, as authorized by Ordinance 16898 in 2010, and extended through July 1, 2030, by resolutions of the executive board of A Regional Coalition for Housing, most recently on February 12, 2026, and
WHEREAS, the interlocal agreement indicates that the recommended budget and work program for A Regional Coalition for Housing ("ARCH") become effective upon approval by the legislative body of each party and final adoption by the ARCH executive board, and
WHEREAS, on June 11, 2026, the ARCH executive board recommended to the legislative body of each party the 2027-2028 ARCH Budget and Work Program, which are Attachments 1 and 2 to the ARCH Memo to ARCH Member Councils Regarding 2027-2028 Budget and Work Program, which is Attachment A to this motion, and
WHEREAS, only the first year of ARCH's 2027-2028 administrative budget and work program falls within King County's 2026-2027 budgetary biennium;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
The first year of ARCH’s 2027-2028 administrative budget and work program for ARCH, A Regional Coalition for Housing, which are Attachments 1 and 2 to the ARCH
Memo to ARCH Member Councils Regarding 2027-2028 Budget and Work Program, which is Attachment A to this motion, is hereby approved.
