A MOTION approving the integrated work plan that incorporated the coordination and integration of master planning efforts for criminal justice agencies and branches.

WHEREAS, over the next two years, the superior court, district court, sheriff and department of adult and juvenile detention have or will have completed operational master plans, facility master plans, and related studies to ensure that services are provided in an efficient manner and meet the requirements outlined in law, and
WHEREAS, given the overlap in the timing of criminal justice master planning efforts and the close operational relationships of criminal justice agencies and branches, the executive has initiated a plan to coordinate and integrate master planning efforts for criminal justice agencies and branches in an effort to identify potential efficiencies in the management of operations and capital assets, and
WHEREAS, King County adopted the 2007 Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 15652, relating to the county's budget, and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 15652 requires that $100,000 of facilities management internal service funds shall not be expended or encumbered until the council approves a work plan that incorporated the coordination and integration of master planning efforts for criminal justice agencies and branches, and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 15652 requires that $50,000 of CIP Project 395558, regional justice center site master plan, shall not be expended or encumbered until the council approves a work plan for the regional justice center site master plan, and
WHEREAS, Ordinance15652 requires that $85,000 of CIP Project 395761, superior court facility master plan, shall not be expended or encumbered until the council approves a work plan for the superior court facility master plan, and
