body
STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  King County and the city of Bellevue (city) have agreed to terms for an interlocal agreement for the transfer of Eastgate park and Manor Hill park.
2.  The recitals in the agreement set forth relevant facts supporting and explaining the terms of the transfer.
3.  King County and the city have agreed that the transfer will take place within thirty days of the execution of the interlocal agreement.
4.  Transfer of Eastgate park and Manor Hill park under the terms and conditions of the attached agreement will serve an important county purpose by ensuring that the parks will remain open and available to all county residents.
5.  Because the county does not have sufficient funds to continue to operate and maintain Eastgate park and Manor Hill park, these parks are surplus to the county's needs.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1.  The King County executive is hereby authorized to enter into an interlocal agreement, substantially in the form of the attached agreement, with the city of Bellevue relating to the transfer of Eastgate park and Manor Hill park.
