A MOTION relating to the King County Search and Rescue Association; acknowledging receipt of the funding report for its proposed new headquarters as required by the 2023-2024 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19546, Section 94, Proviso P1.

                     WHEREAS, by the 2023-2024 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19546, Section 94, Proviso P1, the King County council adopted and the executive approved a proviso encumbering a total of one hundred thousand dollars from the parks and recreation division of the department of natural resources and parks fund and requiring a report on moneys and financial commitments secured by the King County Search and Rescue Association for its proposed new headquarters capital project, the funding report, and a Motion acknowledging receipt of said report to be filed by June 30, 2024; and

                     WHEREAS, the parks and recreation division of the department of natural resources and parks has submitted the funding report including the total amount of moneys and financial commitments that have been secured by the King County Search and Rescue Association as of March 31, 2024, and a description of the balance of moneys still needed to complete the proposed new headquarters capital project, including detail of what amount of money remains to be secured to complete acquisition, design and engineering, and construction;

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

                     The King County council hereby acknowledges receipt of the funding report, Attachment A to this motion, as required by Ordinance 19546, Section 94, Proviso P1.
