      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  The attached 2004 King County 10 Step Hourly Squared Schedule, 2004 King County 10 Step Annual/FLSA Exempt Squared Schedule, 2004 King County Standardized Hourly Salary Schedule, 2004 King County Standardized Annual/FLSA Exempt Salary Schedule and the 2004 King County Metro Non-Represented Salary Schedule are approved and adopted.
      SECTION 2.  Employees of the King County district courts, King County superior court, and the King County council shall have their wages increased by 2.03 percent effective January 1, 2004.  This increase shall not apply to elected officials, Court Commissioners, Superior Court Administrator, Pro Tem Judges or those employees who are in a collective bargaining unit.
      SECTION 3.  Nonelected employees of the executive branch shall have their wages increased by 2.03 percent effective January 1, 2004, except that the wages of employees covered by collective bargaining agreements shall be governed by the respective collective bargaining agreement and the wages of short-term temporary employees in classifications not included in Ordinance 14516 and Ordinance 14626, and part-time employees in classifications not included in Ordinance 14516 and Ordinance
 
14626, and administrative interns, shall not be increased pursuant to the provisions of this ordinance.
