A RESOLUTION relating to the King County Ferry District's Maintenance and Moorage Barge and approving a lease with the Washington State Department of Transportation for the District's use of Pier 48.

      WHEREAS, the King County Ferry District (“District”) requires a site to locate and operate its Maintenance and Moorage Barge (“Barge”); and
      WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation (“WSDOT”) owns Pier 48 and its associated tidelands; and
      WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the District (“Board”) has determined that it is in the District's best interests to enter into a long term lease with WSDOT for the District's use of Pier 48 to locate and operate its Barge; now, therefore
      BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE KING COUNTY FERRY DISTRICT:
      SECTION 1.  The Board hereby approves the “Pier 48 Lease No. GCB 1144 For
Maintenance and Moorage Barge”, attached to this Resolution (the “Lease”).  The Board's chair is authorized to execute the Lease on behalf of the District.
