AN ORDINANCE making a supplemental appropriation of $1,225,095 to the automated fingerprint identification system in support of the courthouse automated fingerprint identification system work area and $14,311,058 to the building capital improvement fund to finalize the appropriation authority necessary for the construction of the Courthouse seismic and automated fingerprint identification system capital projects; and amending the 2002 Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 14265, Sections 75 and 119 and Attachment 2, as amended.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. There is hereby approved and adopted a supplemental request of $1,225,095 to the automated fingerprint identification system fund and $14,311,058 to the building capital improvement fund.
SECTION 2. Ordinance 14265, Section 75, as amended, is hereby amended by adding thereto and inserting therein the following:

SECTION 3. Ordinance 14265, Section 119, as amended, is hereby amended by adding thereto and inserting the following:
From several capital improvement project funds there is hereby appropriated and authorized to be disbursed the following:

PROVIDED FURTHER THAT
For Project 395716, titled Courthouse South Addition, the appropriated amount includes funding for consulting services for independent project monitoring. The scope of work for the independent project monitoring will include at a minimum:
1. Project monitoring of compliance with generally accepted project management practices. Intent of such review is to provide reasonable assurance to the County that financial responsibilities and compliance with generally accepted project management practices are achieved throughout the project.
2. Monitoring of compliance with adopted scope, schedule and budget during construction phases.
