A RESOLUTION amending the interlocal agreement between King County and the King County Flood Control Zone District to extend its term.

                     WHEREAS, the King County Flood Control Zone District (“District”) and King County (“County”) have entered into an “Interlocal Agreement Between King County and the King County Flood Control Zone District Regarding Flood Protection Services”, and

                     WHEREAS, the District and the County desire to continue to operate under the terms of the interlocal agreement until a new one can be negotiated and adopted,

and

                     WHEREAS, in order to ensure the parties enough time to negotiate the new interlocal agreement and have it adopted by both parties amends the interlocal agreement to extend its term to a mutually agreeable date certain but not to exceed through December 31, 2020;

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE KING COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT:

                     SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors approves the Second Amendment to the “Interlocal Agreement Between King County and the King County Flood Control Zone

District Regarding Flood Protection Services,” which is Attachment A to this resolution, and authorizes the chair of the Board of Supervisors to sign the amendment.
