A MOTION establishing the 2005 (FY'06) Federal Agenda for King County.

      WHEREAS, the metropolitan King County council and the King County executive have worked through the joint King County Legislative Steering Committee to develop a federal agenda and desire to bring their positions on issues to the attention of the United States Congress, and
      WHEREAS, King County desires to work cooperatively with other local governments and other organizations to achieve its 2005 (FY '06) federal legislative goals, and
      WHEREAS, King County is dependent on a strong fiscal partnership with the federal government, and
      WHEREAS,  If King County is going to be able to continue delivering basic government services to our residents, it needs a preservation, if not an expansion, of federal support, and
      WHEREAS, the King County council and the King County executive will continue to review congressional developments for possible revisions of King County's 2005 (FY '06) federal legislative program;
      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
      The King County council hereby adopts the attached 2005 (FY '06) Federal Agenda for King County as county's highest priorities for federal action in the 2005 (FY'06) congressional appropriations cycle.
