A MOTION acknowledging the receipt of the East Link Connections transit gap service analysis report in compliance with the 2026-2027 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 20023, Section 116, Proviso P14.
Body
WHEREAS, the 2026-2027 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 20023, Section 116, Proviso P14, states that $100,000 of the moneys appropriated to transit from the public transportation operating fund shall not be expended or encumbered until the transit department transmits an East Link Connections transit gap service analysis report together with a motion acknowledging receipt of the report, and
WHEREAS, the East Link Connections transit gap service analysis report is required to include:
1. A summary of potential changes to routes 226 or 240 that could restore services to Richards Road, such as infrastructure investments, routing changes, speed and reliability improvements, bus stop consolidation, and changed route terminus locations; and
2. A description of flexible service pilots that could be implemented or expanded in the Woodridge, Bel-Red, and Crossroads neighborhoods in Bellevue to provide connections to frequent transit service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
The council hereby acknowledges receipt of the East Link Connections transit gap service analysis report, Attachment A to this motion, as required by Ordinance 20023, Section 116, Proviso P14.
