      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  Ordinance 14262 , Section 8, as amended, and K.C.C. Chapter 3.32  hereby amended to read as follows:
      Parking fee revenues - disposition.  All revenues derived from parking fees shall be distributed as follows:
      ((All parking revenues derived from the increase of parking rates for covered and uncovered parking effective on or after January 1, 1989, shall be reserved for the support of health and human services activities and shall be deposited in the children and family set-aside fund.  All revenue derived from elimination of free public parking shall be deposited in the current expense fund.  Increased revenues derived from the increase of parking rates effective on or after January 1, 2002, shall be reserved for capital improvements to parking facilities and for the children and family set-aside fund.))
      A.  Forty-four percent of parking revenues shall be distributed to the children and family set aside fund for support of health and human services activities and the remainder shall be distributed to the current expense fund;
      B.  It is the intent of the council to annually, during the budget process, identify a portion of the revenue going to the current expense fund to be transferred to the major maintenance reserve fund to support major maintenance projects at the garage and other parking facilities, taking into account the major maintenance model and financial plan; and
      C.  The department of executive services, facilities internal service fund shall be
 
reimbursed by the current expense fund for expenses associated with the operation of the parking program.
