Title
AN ORDINANCE related to expenses of members of the financial policies advisory task force.
Body
PREAMBLE:
1. By Motion 12394, the council created the King County financial policies advisory task force.
2. By January 29, 2007, the council will appoint five members to the task force.
3. The task force members shall have knowledge and experience in governmental budgeting and financial policies.
4. Because it is likely that the private citizens who are appointed to this task force will be taking time away from the jobs and traveling significant distances to attend meetings of the task force and the council, the council deems it fair and equitable to reimburse the task force members for travel and other expenses.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. The county shall reimburse members of the King County financial policies advisory task force for mileage for travel to and from task force meetings and other official functions of the task force in accordance with K.C.C. chapter 3.24. Parking for task force members while attending task force meetings and other official functions of the task force is for the business convenience of the council and the council shall pay for parking in county parking facilities in accordance with K.C.C. chapter 3.32. Task force members shall be reimbursed for parking while attending task force meetings and other
official functions of the task force conducted at locations not near the county garage in accordance with K.C.C. 3.24.090.A.3.
