AN ORDINANCE relating to the sale of the tax title property located north of East Spring Street between 13th and 14th Avenue, Seattle, Washington, in council district eight.

Body

STATEMENT OF FACTS:

1.  The facilities management division declared the tax title properties located north of East Spring Street between 13th and 14th Avenue, Seattle, Washington, located within council district eight, surplus to its needs on August 17, 2016.

2.  The facilities management division offered the property to other county agencies on August 21, 2016, and received no interest.

3.  The facilities management division found the property unsuitable for affordable housing development on September 21, 2016.

4.  The facilities management division declared the property surplus to the current and future foreseeable needs of the county on September 23, 2016.

5.  The property was marketed through the required public notice in the Seattle Times in accordance with RCW 36.35.120 and via direct notification of the seven adjoining property owners.

6.  The county received two bids and accepted a purchase price of $51,000 on October 13, 2016.

                     BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:

                     SECTION 1.  The executive is authorized to convey the tax title parcel north of East Spring Street between 13th and 14th Avenue to Isola Real Estate VI, LLC, consistent with a purchase and sale agreement substantially in the form of Attachment A

to this ordinance, and to take all actions necessary to implement the terms of the purchase and sale agreement.
