BE IT ADOPTED BY THE KING COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH:
SECTION 1. R&R 06-01, Section 2, as amended, and BOH 8.01.020 are each hereby amended to read as follows:
Purpose and policy.
A. Authority is established under RCW chapter 70.05 for the control and prevention of zoonotic disease. This title is enacted as an exercise of the Board of Health powers of King County to protect and preserve the public peace, health, safety and welfare. Its provisions shall be liberally construed for the accomplishment of these purposes.
