Title
A MOTION relating to the formation of a public hospital district under chapter 70.44 RCW; acknowledging receipt of a petition for formation of Public Hospital District No. 5 and fixing a date and time for a public hearing on the petition.
Body
WHEREAS, the records, elections and licensing services division has transmitted to the council a petition for formation of the King County Public Hospital District No. 5 under chapter 70.44 RCW and certification that the petition contains a sufficient number of signatures of qualified persons, and
WHEREAS, the petition for the formation of the King County Public Hospital District No. 5 was filed for the purpose of creating such a public hospital district to furnish health care facilities and services to adequately provide for the residents of Vashon-Maury Island and others as its board of commissioners may undertake, and
WHEREAS, chapter 36.69 RCW provides that the council shall fix a date for a hearing on the petition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
A public hearing on the petition for formation of the King County Public Hospital District No. 5, as required by RCW 70.44.030, shall be held on October 31, 2005, at 1:30 p.m.
