Title
A MOTION authorizing the chair of the council to enter into a contract for an independent consultant to conduct key technical analysis of internal controls as part of a performance audit of jail health services's pharmacy operations at King County's two correctional facilities.
Body
WHEREAS, the county's procurement services office issued a request for proposals ("RFP") to conduct the jail health services pharmacy operations - internal control analysis, and,
WHEREAS, an RFP evaluation committee, comprised of county council staff, county auditor staff, and the Washington State Department of Corrections Director of Pharmacy, evaluated the proposals, conducted interviews and unanimously determined that the proposal from Westcoast Consulting Group LLC best meets the selection criteria outlined in the RFP, and
WHEREAS, the county auditor also evaluated the consultants' proposals and references, met with Westcoast Consulting Group LLC, and determined that Westcoast Consulting Group LLC has the qualifications and expertise to conduct key technical analysis of internal controls as part of a performance audit of jail health services pharmacy operations, and recommends council approval of Westcoast Consulting Group LLC, and
WHEREAS, Motion 10651, Section III, as amended, and OR 1-020 requires the council to authorize the council chair to sign any contracts in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars in the legislative branch;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
The chair of the metropolitan King County council is authorized to enter into a contract, in an amount not to exceed sixty-five thousand dollars with Westcoast
Consulting Group LLC to conduct key technical analysis of internal controls as part of a performance audit of jail health services pharmacy operations.
