A MOTION approving the county executive's E-Commerce Policies and Guidelines as required by council in the 2001 Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 14018, Section 115.

      WHEREAS, the King County council required by proviso in Section 115 of the 2001 Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 14018, that $88,667 of the appropriation for information and telecommunications services - technology services may not be expended or encumbered until the council has reviewed and approved by motion a full set of electronic commerce policies and guidelines, and
      WHEREAS, the required E-Commerce Policies and Guidelines report has been submitted to the council and found to be responsive to the council's intent;
      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the council of King County:
      The county executives's E-Commerce Policies and Guidelines report is hereby approved.  The county executive is hereby authorized to encumber and expend $88,667 of the appropriation to the information and telecommunications services - technology services, for the purpose of supporting the rollout of enterprise electronic commerce services.
