AN ORDINANCE approving the revision of the corporate boundary of the city of Kirkland to include portions of 116th Avenue NE and NE 60th Street that are county roads, as provided for in RCW 35A.21.210.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1. City of Kirkland Ordinance Number 3985, which was adopted on February 1, 2005, revises the city's corporate boundary to include certain segments of 116th Avenue NE and NE 60th Street in the vicinity of the Bridle Trails State Park.
2. RCW 35A.21.210 authorizes the governing body of any code city to revise any part of the corporate boundary that coincides with the centerline, edge, or any portion of a public street, road or highway right-of-way by substituting therefore a right-of-way line of the same public street, road or highway so as fully to include or fully to exclude that segment of the public street, road or highway from the corporate limits of the city.
3. Revision of the corporate boundary of a city is effective upon approval by the city council and the county legislative authority as provided for in RCW 35A.21.210.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. The revision of the corporate boundary of the city of Kirkland to
include certain segments of 116th Avenue NE and NE 60th Street, legally described as set forth in Attachment A to this ordinance, is hereby approved.
