A MOTION authorizing the publication and distribution of a local voters' pamphlet in conjunction with a special election.

      WHEREAS, by Resolution 210, Fire District No. 41 has established a date for a special election to be held on May 17, 2005, and
      WHEREAS, by Resolution 211, Fire District No. 41 has requested that King County prepare and distribute a local voters' pamphlet for this election pursuant to chapter 29A.32 RCW, and
      WHEREAS, by Ordinance 09-05, the city of Covington has established a date for a special election to be held on May 17, 2005, and
      WHEREAS, by Ordinance 09-05, the city of Covington has requested that King County prepare and distribute a local voters' pamphlet for this election pursuant to chapter 29A.32 RCW, and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to inform as many of the voters of the area eligible to vote in this election about the issues for which they will be casting ballots, and
      WHEREAS, K.C.C. 1.10.010 provides that the council may authorize the publication and distribution of a local voters' pamphlet for special elections as it so determines;
      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
      The manager of the records and elections division of King County is hereby authorized and requested to prepare and distribute a local voters' pamphlet in
 
conjunction with the special election on May 17, 2005, the cost of the pamphlet to be included as part of the cost of the election.
