Title
A MOTION implementing Motion 11809 by specifying the work program and membership of the Snoqualmie valley land use advisory group.
Body
      WHEREAS, the King County council adopted Motion 11809 on September 22, 2003, creating the Snoqualmie valley land use advisory group, and
      WHEREAS, the primary purpose of the advisory group is to evaluate current comprehensive plan policies and development regulations, such as permitted uses, and to make any recommendations in such plans and policies necessary to improve the economic vitality of the Snoqualmie valley, and
      WHEREAS, the advisory group is anticipated to complete their evaluation and forward any recommended changes for consideration as part of the 2004 update to the King County Comprehensive Plan, and
      WHEREAS, the advisory group is intended to be comprised of residents, landowners, and other stakeholder groups representative of the variety of land use interests in the Snoqualmie valley, and
      WHEREAS, the specific details about staff support, committee responsibilities and specific representation by stakeholder groups was to be approved in subsequent legislation by the council;
      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
      A.  The Snoqualmie valley land use advisory group shall be provided staff support by the growth management and unincorporated areas committee or its successor;
      B.  The Snoqualmie valley land use advisory group shall convene beginning in January 2004 and subsequent meeting times and dates shall be determined by the group;
      C.  The Snoqualmie valley land use advisory group shall submit their recommendations to the chair of the growth management and unincorporated areas committee, or its successor, by June 1, 2004, to allow for consideration during the review of the 2004 amendments to the King County Comprehensive Plan;
      D.   The Snoqualmie valley land use advisory group shall reconvene following adoption of the 2004 amendments to the King County Comprehensive Plan to review what recommendations were acted upon and to discuss what additional steps could be taken to implement the recommendations that remain unimplemented; and
      E.   The Snoqualmie valley land use advisory group shall consist of the following thirteen individuals representing the indicated stakeholder groups within the Snoqualmie valley:
        1.  Fuzzy Fletcher;
        2.  Steve Speidel;
        3.  Paul Carkeek;
        4.  Tom Bernard;
        5.  Ms. Lee Grumman;
        6.  Will Ibershof;
        7.  Bill Knudson;
        8.  Preston Drew;
        9.  Terese Schaller-Rand;
        10.  Bill Bennett;
        11.  Ray Buhren;
 
        12.  Dr. Greg Fawcett; and
        13.  Janice Cannon-Kyte.
