Chair's Report  
The Chair shared that Dr. Jeffrey Duchin recently announced he would be retiring  
from his position as Health Officer for Public Health - Seattle & King County on July 1,  
2024 and that Public Health Director Dr. Faisal Khan is appointing Dr. Mia Shim as  
Interim Health Officer while a national search is conducted.

A RESOLUTION adopting the 2024 work plan for the King County Board of Health.  
Boardmember Mosqueda and Board Administrator Joy Carpine Cazzanti briefed the  
Board.  
A motion was made by Boardmember Lam that this Resolution be Passed. The  
motion carried by the following vote:

Faisal Khan, the Director of Public Health -- Seattle & King County, Aley Joseph, a  
Senior Epidemiologist with Public Health, and Doug Baxter-Jenkins, Director of  
Community Health with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, briefed the Board and  
answered questions.
