Title
A RESOLUTION relating to the operations and finances of the King County Ferry District and adopting the District's 2012 property tax levy.
Body
WHEREAS, the King County Ferry District (District) Board of Supervisors (Board) desires to maintain its property tax levy for 2012 at the 2010 level; and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that the proposed property tax levy is sufficient to carry out the District's 2012 work plan; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE KING COUNTY FERRY DISTRICT:
SECTION 1. No increase in the regular levy over the preceding year, and no increase resulting from the addition of new construction and improvements to property, and newly constructed wind turbines, and no increase in the value of state-assessed property, is hereby authorized for the 2012 levy. The Board hereby certifies the amount of regular property taxes to be levied for collection in 2012 is $1,183,252.
SECTION 2. As authorized by RCW 84.55.092, the District continues to reserve its banked capacity for the subsequent regular levies of the District.
