Title

A MOTION recommending appointment of a King County Flood Control District executive director.

Body

                     WHEREAS, the King County Flood Control District ("the District") has determined that the District’s interests are best served by having a full-time executive director who is an employee of King County, and

                     WHEREAS, the District contracts with the King County legislative branch for administration and support services, and

                     WHEREAS, the District has conducted a recruitment and hiring process consistent with OR 3-035.C. of the organizational compilation, and has recommended a candidate for appointment as the King County Flood Control Zone District executive director, and

                     WHEREAS, OR 3-030.D. of the organizational compilation establishes the role and responsibilities for the King County Flood Control Zone District executive director;

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Board of Supervisors of the King County Flood Control Zone District:

                     SECTION 1. Michelle Clark is hereby recommended for appointment as the District’s executive director, beginning on December 19, 2016.

                     SECTION 2.  The current executive director is instructed to work with Michelle Clark and the District chairman to negotiate the starting salary and probationary period.
