Title

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the conveyance of the surplus property located at 18219 140th Avenue SE, Renton, WA 98058, within council district nine.

Body

STATEMENT OF FACTS:

1.  The department of transportation, roads services division, declared the property located at 18219 140th Avenue SE, Renton, WA, 98058, located within council district nine, surplus to its needs on December 10, 2010.

2.  The facilities management division offered the property to other county agencies on June 10, 2011, and received no interest.

3.  The facilities management division declared the property surplus to the current and future foreseeable needs of the county on February 2, 2011.

4.  The facilities management division found the property unsuitable for affordable housing development on February 2, 2011.

5.  The property was marketed in the following manner: exposure on the Northwest Multiple Listing Service, site signage and advertisement on the King County real estate services website.

6.  The county received one offer and accepted a purchase price of $133,500 on July 17, 2012.

                     BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:

                     SECTION 1.  The executive is authorized to convey the property located at 18219 140th Avenue SE to Christopher Buyagawan and Summer Porter consistent with a purchase and sale agreement substantially in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance and to take all actions necessary to implement the terms of the purchase and sale agreement.
