A MOTION acknowledging receipt of a report related to rural economic strategies implementation submitted in compliance with Ordinance 17956, Section 2.

      WHEREAS, Ordinance 17956, enacted December 24, 2014, requires the King County executive to transmit to the council a report outlining an implementation plan for the rural economic strategies developed by the executive and adopted by the council as Attachment A to Ordinance 17956, and
      WHEREAS, supporting King County's rural economy is critical to the ensuring vibrant agricultural, equestrian, forestry and small business enterprises in King County, as well as the economic vitality of rural cities, and
      WHEREAS, King County has taken several significant steps in 2014 and 2015 to advance the goals of the rural economic strategies plan, and
      WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance 17956, Section 2, the executive has compiled those steps that the executive branch has taken to implement the rural economic strategies, and
      WHEREAS, the executive has transmitted to the council the requested report and a motion;
      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the council of King County:
      The receipt of the report on rural economic strategies implementation, which is submitted as Attachment A to this motion in compliance with Ordinance 17956, Section 2, is hereby acknowledged.
