A MOTION accepting a report on airport perimeter security measures in compliance with Ordinance 17941, Section 129, Proviso P8.

WHEREAS, the King County council in adopting Ordinance 17941, Section 129, Proviso P8, directed the executive to transmit for council acceptance a report on airport perimeter security measures, and
WHEREAS, the King County executive has transmitted to the council a report that contains the required information responding to the proviso, and
WHEREAS, the King County International Airport recognizes that changes in aviation security and threat environments require the airport to remain vigilant and capable of responding to security threats, and
WHEREAS, the proviso response report includes an assessment of existing airport-owned security systems including physical security perimeter systems, technical security systems and operational security protocols, and
WHEREAS, councilmembers were briefed in Executive Session on the Airport Perimeter Security Measures Report;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
The Airport Perimeter Security Measures Report, Attachment A to this motion, is hereby accepted.
