Title
A RESOLUTION relating to the North and South Reach of the Russell Road Upper Levee improvement project, River Mile 19.25 to 20.4, Right Bank, on the Green River in the city of Kent; approving a revised agreement with the city of Kent for such project; and authorizing the chair to enter into such agreement.
Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution FCD2014-02.1, adopted on March 31, 2014, the King County Flood Control Zone District ("District") approved the "Agreement for Levee Construction, Operation and Maintenance, Russell Road Upper Levee - North Reach and South Reach, River Mile 19.25 to 20.4, Right Bank" ("2014 Agreement"); and
WHEREAS, the District desires to move forward with additional improvements to the North Reach and South Reach of the Russell Road Upper Levee on the Green River in the City of Kent; and
WHEREAS, construction of the Russell Road Upper Levee improvements is intended to achieve levee certification on the Green River between River Mile 19.25 to 20.4, Right Bank; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution FCD2012-09.3, adopted on November 5, 2013; FCD 2013-14.3, adopted on November 12, 2013, and FCD2014-14.3, adopted on November 3; 2014, the District board of supervisors determined that the improvements in those resolutions generally contribute to the objectives of the District's comprehensive plan of development, and approved funding for the improvements; and
WHEREAS, the District board of supervisors desires to amend and re-state the 2014 Agreement; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE KING COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT:
SECTION 1. The chair of the King County Flood Control Zone District is authorized to enter into the "Revised Agreement for Levee Construction, Operation and Maintenance, Russell Road Upper Levee - North Reach and South Reach, River Mile 19.25 to 20.4, Right Bank," Attachment A to this resolution.
