      WHEREAS, K.C.C. 2.80.010 requires the executive to transmit a motion when receiving a donation more than two thousand dollars, and
      WHEREAS, the anonymous donor specified that the donation be used for general support of the Healthcare for the Homeless Network under the Seattle-King County Department of Public Health, and
      WHEREAS, previous donations for general support of the Health Care for the Homeless Network have augmented implementation of special projects like one-time startup costs for the Medical Respite Program, and unanticipated costs related to building out the new Ballard Homeless Clinic, and
      WHEREAS, for twenty-eight years, the Health Care for the Homeless Network has provided health service coordination for people living homeless in King County, and
      WHEREAS, Heath Care for the Homeless Network providers visit over sixty homeless sites throughout King County, and also provides medical, dental and case management services for homeless people through the department of public health's centers and programs, and
      WHEREAS, between contracted services and services provided in public health centers, more than nineteen thousand homeless individuals throughout King County received over one hundred thousand services in 2013;
      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
      The department of public health is authorized to accept the anonymous donation via the Seattle Foundation of forty thousand dollars to be used for general support of the
Healthcare for the Homeless Network under the department of public health in accordance with K.C.C. 2.80.010.
