AN ORDINANCE revising the legal description of the annexation of an area known as Fire District Annexation to King County water district 111; and amending Ordinance 8880, Section 4.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1. In October 1988, King County water district 111 and King County water district 105 adopted a joint resolution modifying the service area boundary between the districts and filed a notice of intention with the boundary review board proposing that an area known as the Fire District Annexation be annexed into water district 111 ("the area"). Included as part of that notice was a legal description of the area. The King County council also received a copy of that notice of intention.
2. In December 1988, the board sent the legal description of the area to various county agencies requesting comment on the proposed annexation.
3. One of those agencies, the county's public works department, which is the predecessor of the county's current road services division, responded and advised that the area's legal description was incorrect.
4. After the board notified water district 111 of the incorrect legal description, the water district submitted a revised legal description to the board.
5. In January 1989, the board requested the public works department to review the new legal description.
6. After its review, in a February 3, 1989, letter to the board, the public works department confirmed the appropriateness of the revised legal description of the area and had no objections.
7. The board approved the notice of intention with the revised legal description on March 8, 1989.
8. On March 13, 1989, the council adopted Ordinance 8880, which contained an incorrect legal description of the area.
9. Recently this error came to light and the water district has requested that the county amend Ordinance 8880 to correct the legal description to the revised legal description approved by the board and accepted by the public ...
