A MOTION accepting the executive response to the 2013/2014 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 17476, Section 72, Proviso P2, as amended, related to enhanced 911; and authorizing the release of $100,000 currently held in reserve.

      WHEREAS, the 2013/2014 Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 17476 Section 72, Proviso P2, as amended, related to enhanced 911, stated that $100,000 should not be encumbered or expended until the executive transmits a report and a motion that acknowledges receipt of the report and said motion is adopted by council, and
      WHEREAS, the King County executive has transmitted to the King County council the requested report, and
      WHEREAS, the King County council has reviewed the attached report that addresses the following proviso areas:
      1.  Description of the work of the public safety answering point steering committee;
      2.  Status of the review and potential recommendations for the optimum public service answering point configuration in King County; and
      3. Proposed schedule for completing its review and the plans for transmitting recommendations to the council;
      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
      The council acknowledges receipt of the executive's response to the 2013/2014 Biennial Budget Ordinance 17476, Section 72, Proviso P2, as amended, related to the enhanced 911 program, which is enclosed as Attachment A to this motion.
      The proviso response is hereby accepted and the $100,000 currently held in
reserve in Ordinance 17476, Section 72, as amended, related to enhanced 911, is hereby released.
