A MOTION relating to the District Executive Director, and authorizing the Executive Committee and the interim executive director to implement and comply with all necessary and applicable payroll and employment laws and regulations.
Body
      WHEREAS, on April 21, 2014, the Board of Supervisors of the King County Flood Control District ("District") appointed Mark Hoppen to the position of District Executive Director, subject to execution of an employment agreement substantially in the form of the employment agreement approved by Resolution FCD 2014-03.1, adopted on April 21, 2014; and
      WHEREAS, the employment of the Executive Director requires the District to arrange for payroll processing and to implement and comply with applicable employment laws and regulations, such as participation in the Washington Public Employee's Retirement System; now, therefore
BE IT MOVED by the Board of Supervisors of the King County Flood Control Zone District:
      The King County Flood Control Zone District executive committee and the District interim executive director are authorized and directed to implement and comply with all necessary payroll and employment laws and regulations that apply to the position of District Executive Director, and the chair of the executive committee, or an alternative member of the executive committee appointed by the executive committee, is authorized to execute any applications and agreements on behalf of the District that are necessary for such implementation and compliance.
